Tui Estate is aimed at achieving the highest standards of planning, design and construction possible.

Buildings will be designed to reflect and acknowledge the massive landscape, quality of light and outstanding vistas. A framework of guidelines has been developed to encourage a high level of design, consistent in scale and materials, but allowing for the expression of individuality required for a development of this standard.

A contemporary approach to design is encouraged, acknowledging the traditional New Zealand rural building, but expressing this in a way that is unmistakably of this century. Material selection will enhance this design direction if taken from a palette of timber, stained dark, stone, metal, shingles and glass.
